Consignor FAQ

What percentage will I make from my items?
Consignors make 45% of the sale price from their items and Tots-N-More makes 45%. The other 10% is donated to charities: 5% going to local charities in Vance County and 5% going to Alex & Jenny Stewart who are missionaries in the Netherlands.

Will there be any cost to me?
We do charge a one-time membership fee of $5 for administrative processing.

Do I need to make an appointment to bring in my items?
Yes. Please call us or send us an email.  This is to ensure that we do not get a large number of consignors at once.  We are only accepting consignment items on Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment only.  If Monday & Wednesdays are not good for you, we can schedule you a different day.

Is there anything I need to do before I bring in my items?
Please be sure that your clothes have been washed and either folded in a box or tote or on hangers.  If you are bringing toys please ensure they are clean and all have working batteries. Also please read over the contract and fill out the form to list your items.  Bring both of these papers in with you when you bring in your items.

Will I be able to know what items sold and what items didn’t?
Yes! Tots-N-More will give consignors a detailed printout of sold and unsold items.

Do I have to come into the store to know how many of my items have sold?

No. Our consignors will be able to go online to see what items have sold at

What items can I consign?
Take a look at our “Currently Seeking” page. Also, please ensure that none of your items have been recalled by vising before bringing in your items.
We generally do not enter consignment items on the last week of each month.  This week is used for inventory and administrative purposes.

How many items can I bring it at a time?
Currently, we have a limit of 30 items at any one time.  This is to ensure that we are able to tag and stock your items in a timely manner.

What if I have more than 30 items?
If you have more than 30 items, please break it into groups of 30.  We can only accept consignments of 30 items at a time.

How often can I bring in items?
You can bring in items once a week, by appointment.

Are there any items that you will not accept?
Tots-N-More will not accept items that are torn, stained, broken, or missing parts.  We also will not accept any recalled items. If you bring in any recalled items, you will be charged $2.00 per item and the items will be returned to you.  If this happens a second time, Tots-N-More will no longer consign with you.

How long will my items stay in the store?
We will keep your items in stock for 90 days.  After 90 days, any unsold, non-seasonal items will be re-entered into the system for another 90 days.  Any seasonal items will be taken off the shelf.  You will then have 5 days to pick up your unsold items.  You will be notified when your items are ready for pick-up.

What happens if I don’t pick up my unsold items in that time frame?
Any unsold items not picked up after 5 days will become the property of Tots-N-More.

What if I want my items to stay in the store longer?
A new consignment period can be started for any unsold nonseasonal items.  To do this, simply tell us you wish for your items to remain in the store when we notify you about your items being ready for pick-up.  Seasonal items will have to be picked up and then can be brought back once the season returns.

Will my items be marked down when the store has sales?
Tots-N-More may discount your items after 60 days as well as along with any seasonal sales.

How often will I receive a check for my sold items?
As long as your balance due is more than $10.00 you will receive a check every quarter.

Can I use the money I’ve made as store credit?
Absolutely! You are able to shop without any money on you as long as you have a balance due in our system.

Can I close my consignor account before the end of the 90 days?
Yes but you must give Tots-N-More 2 days written notification.  Then allow 5 days for Tots-N-More to pull any unsold items from the shelf and to remove everything from our system.  Your items will be ready for pick up 7 days after notification.  However, a $2.00 stocking and storage charge per item will be charged at time of pick up.
