Crafter FAQ

What types of items do you accept?
We accept any item as long as it is handmade and pertains to maternity or children under the age range we serve (Infant to size 16).

What about safety concerns?
Any items that we feel has questionable safety concerns we may not accept. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

How much will I make from my items?
You will make 60% of the selling price. Tots-N-More keeps 30% and the additional 10% will go to charity. Check out Our Partners page to learn more about the charities we give to. When a customer purchases an item with a credit card, 2% will be taken from the crafter’s portion and the rest will come from Tots-N-More’s portion to cover the credit fees.

Is there any cost to me?
No. Crafters do not have to pay any consignment fees.

Do I price my items?
Yes. You determine your prices but we ask that you price your items at Tots-N-More the same as you have them priced in any other outlet you may be selling them at. If you need assistance in figuring out an acceptable price we can help you with that.

Do I need to make an appointment to bring in my items?
Yes. Please call ahead to make an appointment. We normally schedule appointments for Mondays or Wednesday afternoons. If those times are not convenient we can arrange a different time for you.

How many items can I bring at once?
Items are limited to 20 items at a time and you may bring items once a week. If you have more than 20 items please break it up into groups. More time goes into entering crafter items as each crafter will also receive a spot on our Extras page along with all their items posted onto their own page.

Do I need to make a list?
Yes. Also please note that the Crafter Item List is different than the typical consignor list since you will need to list quantities and prices.

Will my items be discounted?
Your items will only be discounted during seasonally sales if they apply to the item.

How long is the consignment period?
Just like a regular consignment, your consignment period will last for approximately 90 days. At the end of this time you can decide if you want your items to stay for another consignment period or if you would like to remove any remaining items.

When will I get a check?
You may pick up your check at the end of the 90 day period as long as you have $10 or more on account.

Can I use my money as store credit?
Absolutely! Any money made may be used as store credit at any time.

I am a current consignor but I want to become a crafter, do I need to open a new account?

Yes. For people wanting to consign used items as well as handmade we will make you two separate accounts due to the percentage difference.

What if I want to close my account?
If you wish to close your account before the end of your consignment period, you must give Tots-N-More a two day notice and then allow five days for your items to be removed and ready for pick-up. You will, however, be responsible for a $1.00 per item restocking and storage fee that will be due at time of pick-up.
